We book speakers on a regular basis. We have the following speakers and events booked for the next few months:

Iveta Goddard (September 2010)

Wednesday 8 September, 2010 at 7:45pm, Polehampton Junior School

Iveta studied ceramics at the College of Art in the Czech Republic from 1990-1994. Since 1997 she has been making and selling ceramics in Britain.

Iveta works in white earthenware and stoneware. She throws or uses slab techniques, or a combination of both. She makes clocks, plates, bowls, jewellery and plenty more.

Marc Fraser (November 2010)

Annual General Meeting at 7.00pm

Marc is owner of the North Marston Pottery. He has been making pottery for 20 years. Marc makes hand thrown domestic stoneware and porcelain in blue and green glazes. He also runs courses in ceramics.

Sinead O'Moore (February 2011)

Wednesday 10 February, 2011 at 7:45pm, Polehampton Junior School

Sinead works chiefly in two contrasting clays, porcelain and crank stoneware. Her current series explores simple forms of cylinders and bowls and egg shapes. She delights in the fragility of eggshells and how porcelain lends itself to such pieces. With her cylinders she explores the possibilities of manipulating them in an organic way, producing bends and folds and crumpled effects.

Louisa Taylor (March 2011)

Louisa is based at the Cockpit Arms, Deptford. She makes stacking tableware which is multifunctional and ideal for contemporary living, whilst being inspired by 18th Century porcelain vessels.

Nicola Gladwin (April 2011)

Nicola has lived and worked in Iffendic, France for the last 16 years. She makes a range of oven to table ware. Nicola's work is thrown, sometimes altered and textured and then decorated with slip.

Nicola also runs weekend courses in ceramics.
